Hey — I'm Malik.
I'm a Staff Software Engineer based in Atlanta with about 10 years of experience building web platforms, leading engineering teams, and shipping products that actually reach people. My day-to-day is mostly TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python, with a lot of cloud architecture and system design mixed in.
I started this blog mostly as a place to think out loud. I build a lot of things — at work and on my own — and I want somewhere to write about the decisions, tradeoffs, and lessons that don't fit in a commit message or a PR description.
I'm not planning to write tutorials or opinion pieces about the hottest framework of the month. More likely: things I ran into that were interesting, things I got wrong, and occasionally something I built that I'm genuinely proud of.
If any of it's useful to you, great. If you want to talk shop, my email is on the contact page.
